Tackle Back, Neck, and Shoulder Pain with Active Release Therapy

Have you ever had a headache that just won’t go away? Or maybe you’ve experienced chronic knee, neck, or back pain that interferes with your daily activities. Before you help yourself to another dose of ibuprofen, let our chiropractors use active release therapy to help you.

What is Active Release Therapy?

Our chiropractors have taken many hours of continuing education to achieve ART certification. ART is a rehabilitative form of soft tissue massage used to remove scar tissue adhesions and fibrous bands within the soft tissue of your muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Simply stated, our chiropractors are trained to feel the soft tissue of your affected area for damage. Once they find the damage and identify the relationship between it and the related muscles, fascia, tendons, nerves, and ligaments, they apply and maintain tension while you complete a full, comfortable range of motion. This paves the way for shortened tissues to return to their normal length and helps to relax tightened or spasmed muscles. ART encourages the body to relax, heal, and strengthen itself.
